We Keep Our Promises

At Guiding Star Home Care our primary focus is to keep our patients healthy and independent at home.

Home is a place where the client should feel relaxed, comfortable, and connected to their community. We know how important this can be to overall health, which is why we will help you remain in your home as long as it’s safe and practical.

The essence of our vision is that quality care begins in the home. Our caregivers focus on keeping patients happy, healthy and safe in their homes. This reduces the need for acute care and defers admission to long-term care facilities – without jeopardizing overall health outcomes.

Our homecare aides are uniquely positioned to identify changes in a customer’s condition and notify their supervisors so that an action plan can be implemented  timely. This early intervention often averts the need for longer, more costly acute care. This is how our attentive in-home care, combined with medical services when appropriate, can lower medical costs while improving quality of life.

Funding Sources

Our goal is to provide you with peace of mind and simplify the process. We have reimbursement specialists who can handle the paperwork, verify that you qualify, contact your payor to determine level of coverage and then bill appropriately and directly on your behalf.

Guiding Star works with clients and their families to provide home care services on a Private Pay, or self-pay, basis. Sometimes, Private Pay becomes necessary for services that are not covered by insurance, a third party payer source or Medicaid. Private Pay services can be customized to meet your family’s needs.

There are many different Medicaid programs available. These include programs that support the needs of individuals meeting financial eligibility criteria, as well as those designed to serve the needs of patients with special needs.

If you are a veteran or the surviving spouse of a veteran you may qualify for financial benefits which can be used for assisted living and in home care services.

Long Term Care Insurance pays for the treatment of ailing individuals who need medical care over an extended period. It can help you cover the cost of in-home assistance, adult day care, assisted living services or nursing home care

Workers Compensation often covers long term personal care and nursing services authorized by a physician as a result of an approved injury claim. To ensure your insurance covers the services authorized, please contact us so that we may verify coverage limitations.
